McClarty to Host Economic Discussion at LR Chamber Meeting





Former White House Chief of Staff Thomas F. "Mack" McLarty will host a panel of experts on the global economy at the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce's 144th annual meeting Thursday in Little Rock.
The meeting begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Statehouse Convention Center.
The lunch event, featuring McLarty and the panel, begins at noon in the Wally Allen Ballrom. The panelists include political analyst David Gergen; Richard W. Fisher, president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas; and Dr. Nicholas R. Lardy, a Senior Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics in Washington, D.C.
The lunch is presented by Chesapeake Energy Corp., and the program is presented by Hickingbotham Investments Inc.
Herren Hickingbotham, a principal of Hickingbotham Investments and the chamber's 2009 chairman, will present a review of the year, and 2010 Chairman Barbara Graves, owner of Barbara Graves Intimate Fashions, will address the year ahead.
